The 2017 Summer East Cobb Academic Showcase will be held June 28 and June 29 at the East Cobb Baseball Complex at 4617 Lee Waters Rd, Marietta, GA 30066. This year, we moved the summer showcase to just before the Perfect World Wood Bat 17 tournament comes to East Cobb and Lake Point. By moving the Showcase to just before World Wood Bat we expect to increase the already large number of coaches who traditionally attend the Showcase as well as minimize schedule conflicts for players.

Players will arrive at 3:00 PM on June 28 for our pro-style showcase, on-field hitting and optional pitching pens. Scrimmages will be held the morning and afternoon of June 29. Most pitchers will pitch during the scrimmages. Out of town players will scrimmage first.

Emory Coach Bobby Perez: “The East Cobb Academic Showcase is a great event we attend every year. It provides us an opportunity to see outstanding baseball players with outstanding grades. The number of student-athletes mixed with all the great colleges that attend is a win-win situation for both.”

So far Oglethorpe, Coast Guard, Berry, Emory, Harding, Centre, GCSU, Kennesaw State, Mercer, Maryville, Young Harris, Sewanee, Washington and Lee, Covenant, LaGrange, Lafayette, UAH, Piedmont, Trevecca Nazarene, Rhodes, Texas Dallas, Millsaps and Davidson have let me know they will attend.

Registration Information: Players must have a 3.0 GPA or 85% overall grade or greater to register for the Showcase. The Showcase cost is only $250.

All Showcase information (2-page Registration Form (link below) & Check) must be in our office by June 25,2017 or before the Showcase sells out.
